Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily shop activities and help customers with questions, while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage merchandise flow, payroll, and scheduling. This is a hands-on, part-time to full-time position with responsibilities across opening/closing and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash managed, areas presentable.
