Job summary

Cherry Republic is seeking an Assistant Retail Store Manager - Facilities in Traverse City, MI to support the Retail Store Manager and lead store operations. You will train staff, implement product training, and manage daily merchandising and customer service standards.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership, with responsibility for displays, store maintenance, and staff scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a two year/four-year college or university.
• Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staff training by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials; deliver training sessions; review staff results with store manager; develop product training.
• Attract customers by creating displays; follow display plans; assemble displays; present merchandise on floor and in windows.
• Help customers by providing information; answer questions; process payments; prepare merchandise for delivery.
• Promote sales by demonstrating products to customers.
• Handle customer complaints and service suggestions.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending internal workshops.
• Lead retail staff in manager's absence; assist with recruitment, scheduling, and inventory.
• Maintain store organization for opening/closing and smooth operations.
• Oversee cleaning, maintenance, and vendor coordination; manage parking and equipment upkeep.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers; ensure tasks and goals are met.
