Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a two year/ four-year College or University; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and to write reports and correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills: cost of goods sold, markups, proportions and basic algebra.
• Computer Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staff training by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials; assist with delivering training sessions; review staff job results and learning needs with Retail Store Manager; develop and implement new product training.
• Attract customers by originating display ideas; follow display suggestions or schedules; construct or assemble prefabricated display properties; produce merchandise displays in windows and on the sales floor.
• Help customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; completing payment transactions; preparing merchandise for delivery.
• Promote sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers.
• Provide information; identify and investigate customer complaints and service suggestions.
• Oversee inventory, including cycle counts, donations, sample ordering, and end of year counts.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending internal workshops.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain store organization for efficient opening and closing.
