Cavender's in Amarillo, TX is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Management Team, lead daily operations and coach associates to achieve sales, labor and customer experience goals.

This role involves opening/closing the store, supervising staff, managing schedules, addressing customer issues, enforcing policies, and driving Cavender's culture while ensuring a clean, organized and secure shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender's Culture and drive our Mission, Vision, and standards.
• Maintain active role in personal selling, meeting or exceeding sales per hour.
• Train all other associate positions in the store (Cashier, Sales Associate, Key Carrier, Receiver, Stocker, etc.).
• Act as Manager on Duty: assist in day-to-day store management and supervise associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service and drive sales.
• Open and close store as needed.
• Address customer issues and handle returns.
• Handle associate assignments and scheduling.
• Increase sales while maintaining profit and reducing controllable expenses using key metrics.
• Lead product training for store associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Contribute to a safe, secure store environment and report incidents promptly.
• Understand and enforce all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in Loss Prevention measures and report issues.
• Lead and support team to deliver excellent customer service and keep store well-stocked and organized.
• Ensure store presentation meets visual standards and that staff maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Manage labor through scheduling and timecard accuracy, approving payroll bi-weekly.
• Address customer or personnel matters in collaboration with leadership.
• Lead company initiatives at the store level and perform other duties as assigned.
