Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing and development. You will help drive sales performance, ensure operational excellence, and contribute to a positive, customer-focused shopping experience.

Primary responsibilities include supervising associates, supporting hiring processes, and maintaining policy compliance while promoting a safe, engaging store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager with hiring and recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and reinforce adherence to policies and loss prevention standards.
