Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Spring location. You will assist with opening/closing tasks, merchandizing, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills with prior store management experience in retail or similar environments. This is a part-time position with growth opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized in line with company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure security measures.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and keep areas neat.
