Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service excellence, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist in merchandising, staff training, and ensuring a safe, welcoming shopping experience for customers and employees alike.

The role requires strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a high-energy team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read, interpret and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with inquiries in a positive, approachable manner.
• Help organize merchandise and maintain seasonal store areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and loss prevention measures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and managing stock, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Ensure store areas are well-stocked, clean, and presentable.
• Protect company assets including store cash and inventory.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
