Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware in Dallas, GA is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily store operations and exemplify our commitment to great customer service. You will partner with the Store Manager to set the tone for the team, oversee coaching and development, and ensure inventory accuracy and attractive merchandising.

The role requires prior retail supervisory experience, flexibility to work some weekends/evenings, and physical stamina for a fast-paced hardware environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ retail experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Work experience in a hardware or home improvement store a big plus.
• Regularly display Elder's 6 E's with our customers: Ethics, Enthusiasm, Engagement, Empathy, Etiquette, and Efficiency.
• Available to work some weekends and evenings.
• Physical requirements: standing or fast-paced walking, lifting up to 80lbs, bending, pushing/pulling, breaking down boxes, climbing ladder; drive forklift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and promote Elder's mission, vision, values, and standards throughout the store.
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop, monitor associate performance, and recommend associate changes.
• Coach associates to optimal performance. Assist with scheduling and payroll to labor standards.
• Order and maintain inventory to ensure adequate products for customers. Manage shrinkage.
• Lead associates in receiving and displaying merchandise; front shelves and displays.
