Job summary

The Rockford IceHogs in Rockford, IL are seeking a Part-Time Retail Store Clerk to join our front-of-house team for the 2026-27 AHL season. You will deliver friendly guest service, accurately operate the cash register, and help customers find apparel and merchandise.

This seasonal role requires availability nights, weekends and holidays, a minimum of a high school diploma, and the ability to stand for long periods during hockey games. Retail experience is a plus. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a criminal and credit background check.
• Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.
• Retail experience preferred with excellent customer service skills.
• Must be friendly and personable with excellent customer service skills.
• Must be a team player and work well with others.
• Must be able to stand for long periods during hockey games.
• Must be able to lift boxes of merchandise and move racks around store.

• Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering superior guest service
• Accurately and quickly operate the cash register to sell merchandise (No cash venue)
• Demonstrate ability to interact with large masses of customers in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain an awareness of all apparel/merchandise options
• Keep store fully stocked by pulling back stock of merchandise
• Maintain displays, neatness of store and proper signage

The Rockford IceHogs, founded in 1999 and members of the American Hockey League (AHL), is a premier organization and primary development affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Located in Rockford, IL, the Team calls the newly renovated BMO Center its home and offices in downtown Rockford, 401 E State Street.
