Job summary

ALDI USA in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a dedicated store associate to support merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and cleaning. You will help deliver an outstanding customer experience by collaborating with the ALDI team and adhering to store standards.

The role is full-time (30+ hours/week) with starting wages at $19.50 per hour and scheduled wage increases in subsequent years. Candidates should be able to lift up to 45 pounds and handle various store tasks daily.

Qualifications

• Must provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
• Ability to follow ALDI policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Uses POS system to scan and process purchases accurately and reports scanning issues.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Follows line policy and opens additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
