Job summary

Roses Express in Homer, LA is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in running the store. You will train staff, manage daily tasks, and help ensure store performance meets company goals.

Responsibilities include hiring and developing team members, safeguarding assets, handling cash, and maintaining stockroom and sales floor standards. Flexibility to work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic team environment.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members.
• Support day-to-day store operations as directed by the Store Manager.
• Open and close procedures in the Store Manager's absence.
• Protect company assets and manage cash handling.
• Follow policies, safety guidelines and maintain a professional environment.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Direct hourly team members when the Store Manager is away.
• Implement SSC Corporate directives and manage merchandise receipts/returns.
• Assist with freight flow, merchandise ordering and stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is productive and directives are executed.
