Shortage Control Associate

Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. The role directly impacts store security and enhances the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at entrances and exits with a confident, friendly greeting and maintain a professional appearance.
• Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Support shortage reduction programs, conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, and communicate theft prevention information during store rallies.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Build trust and respect with customers and associates, exhibiting a positive demeanor and energetic greeting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations (preferred).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and review, analyze, and comprehend business trends.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Strong leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
