Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Missouri is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager, drive customer service, and oversee store operations. The role may assume shift management in the absence of leadership, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

You will lead team members, promote service programs, manage phone inquiries, process online orders and in-store transfers, handle returns, and ensure accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification is desirable.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise showroom customer service levels and execution of service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure, utilizing electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges accurately and in a friendly manner, issue refunds using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Invoice all merchandise before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules and clock-in/out policies.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day end procedures, secure money/deposits, and check delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
