Job description

The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This role also assumes shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant or Store Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
  3. Answer telephone calls according to company policy.
  4. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
  5. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
  6. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and courteously, issue refunds accurately, and manage returned merchandise appropriately.
  7. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
  8. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  9. Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain management approval for schedule deviations, and clock in/out correctly.
  10. Perform store opening and closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security systems are active, and securing vehicles and premises.
  11. Perform all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to obtain RSS Certification

Desired:

  • Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
  • Automotive systems and repair knowledge
  • ASE Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
