Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role may assume shift management in the absence of senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels in the showroom and ensure program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Handle telephone calls according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure, using the outside purchase ledger.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds issued correctly, and merchandise returned and staged properly.
• Invoicing of all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules; approvals for changes/deviations; clock in/out per policy.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, day end procedures, money handling and deposits as required, and secure the building and alarms.
• All other duties as assigned.
