Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of security, law enforcement or military experience.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must obtain Alaska Guard License prior to starting.
• Ability to work in a team and follow directions.
• Ability to stand 12 hours per shift and handle a 84-hour biweekly schedule.
• Contract requires English language proficiency.
• Must meet safety guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors assigned areas visually, electronically, or audibly.
• Ensures safety and compliance in actions of self and others.
• De-escalates situations to protect people on site.
• Inspects doors, windows, and other areas to verify security.
• Reports incidents and data per company policy and procedures.
• Warns violators and may apprehend or expel them.
• Notifies on-site personnel of visitors requesting access.
• Assists in emergencies to preserve life and property.
• May operate safety and life-support systems as needed.
• May issue and record ID badges.
• Checks safety-related building systems for operation.
