Job summary

Marksman Security is seeking a Site Director to oversee day-to-day security operations across client sites. Lead a team of security staff, supervisors and coordinators to ensure high-quality service while meeting financial and operational goals.

You will develop strong client relationships, manage scheduling, training and performance reviews, and coordinate HR and payroll tasks. The role requires extensive leadership within a fast-paced environment and ongoing adherence to policies and quality

Qualifications

• Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field; equivalent experience/education preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of managerial and policy making experience in security.
• Experience with budgets and reporting in Excel; scheduling systems experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Security Officers, Site and Shift Supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.
• Ensure client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with client and employees.
• Coordinate support services to meet financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service.
• Handle escalated security issues or emergencies appropriately.
• Conduct annual reviews for on-site staff; monitor performance and conduct exit interviews.
• Maintain personnel files and workforce management systems; work with HR and Operations.
• Support HR in hiring, training and onboarding; compile reports on personnel activities.
• Track company equipment and ensure policy compliance.

The Site Director is primarily responsible for supervising the day-to-day security operations of assigned Client sites.

Responsibilities of the Site Director

• Manage a team of Security Officers, Site and Shift Supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.
• Ensure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees
• Coordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client site to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service
• Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately
• Conduct annual reviews for on-site staff.
• Monitors the quality of staff performance including coordinating and conducting exit interviews, assisting with unemployment claims review of disciplinary actions, recommendations for suspension or termination as well as ensuring a regular performance appraisal program for all staff
• Coordinates and documents performance tracking of all staff personnel
• Maintain and ensure the integrity of personnel files and workforce management systems working with Account/Operations Managers and HR department, as necessary
• Support HR department in review of involuntary terminations including union grievances and appeals
• Supports Director of Operations and HR in hiring, training and onboarding
• Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities and account trends
• Responsible for tracking company equipment in the field including technology, vehicles, etc. and ensuring company equipment is utilized in accordance with applicable policies
• Stays current on federal, state and local CBA guidelines relative our services
• Supports the organization’s culture, processes, practices and systems to ensure that company and its clients
• Prepare correspondence and memos as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Benefits:

Education and/or Experience: Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred. Minimum of seven years of managerial and policy making experience in the law enforcement or contract security field. Experience level to include extensive internal contacts within the local law enforcement community.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to obtain a valid security license (if required by the state). Professional Certifications in Security Management; CPP or similar certifications preferred.

Computer Skills: Ability to create and manage budgets, budget variance reports and other reports in Excel. Experience with workforce management systems and scheduling systems preferred.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus. Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, financial and time management skills with the ability of concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to ownership and management.

Other Qualifications: Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Strong qualitative and quantitative skills. Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively, establish workflow priorities and work independently with high attention to detail. Ability to start, cultivate and maintain strong relations and work in a team environment. Prior employment history demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities and producing accurate results in a highly organized manner. Physical Demands: The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
