Allen Pools & Spas in Mendon, VT is seeking a motivated Retail Associate / Sales Professional Trainee to join our team. This entry-level role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service while learning our sales process through hands-on training and mentorship.

You will support the showroom, assist customers with water care products and accessories, and gradually take on more sales responsibilities as you grow.

Qualifications

• Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
• Retail, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide an exceptional in store experience.
• Assist customers with water testing and recommend appropriate water care products.
• Help customers select accessories, parts, and maintenance items.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately.
• Stock shelves, merchandise products, and maintain a clean, organized showroom.
• Receive inventory and assist with merchandising displays.
• Answer phones and direct customer inquiries to the appropriate department.
• Learn our products so you can confidently educate customers.
• Shadow experienced Sales Professionals throughout the sales process.
• Learn how to qualify customers and understand their lifestyle and wellness goals.
• Assist with showroom tours and product demonstrations.
• Follow up with customer inquiries under the guidance of a mentor.
• Learn financing options, product features, and sales systems.
• Gradually take on more sales responsibilities as your confidence and product knowledge grow.
• Participate in ongoing product and sales training.
