Job summary

Newport is seeking a Supervisory Sales Associate to be the face of our team for associates and customers. You will lead and motivate staff, help customers identify needs, and promote our products and services with a professional, educational approach.

You will stay current on merchandise, manage POS transactions, maintain a positive work environment, and ensure accurate inventory and checkout processes. Availability for varied hours including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Product knowledge across merchandise and promotions.
• 1–2 years retail or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Asking questions to identify customer needs.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform about events.
• Provide premier customer service and build positive relationships.
• Maintain store appearance and layout.
• Cross-sell and upsell using product knowledge.
• Process sales using POS and handle cash securely.
• Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliations.
• Provide coaching and direction to sales associates.
• May open/close locations.
