Job summary

Safeway in Newberg, OR is seeking a Retail Sales and Store Support teammate to help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You guide customers, answer questions, stock shelves, and maintain welcoming displays across departments.

You will rotate products, update pricing or signage, and ensure inventory accuracy while moving between tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role requires teamwork and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old (depending on role up to 18).
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters with training.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Compliance with safety, sanitation, and dress standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, answer questions, and help locate items.
• Keep shelves stocked, faces, and displays appealing.
• Restock products, rotate inventory, and update signage as needed.
• Maintain backroom organization and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Support multiple departments and adapt to changing priorities.
