Job summary

Safeway is part of Albertsons Companies Inc. in Tigard, OR, and is looking for a Retail Sales and Store Support team member. You will help customers, stock shelves, maintain displays, and keep backrooms organized to ensure a fast, friendly shopping experience.

You will rotate products, assist with pricing and signage, and support across departments. This role emphasizes adaptability, reliability, and strong attention to detail in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (18+ depending on role requirements)
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters following training and safety guidelines
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards

Responsibilities

• Keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop; help customers locate what they need and answer questions
• Maintain products available and displays in good condition; stock shelves and update signage
• Rotate products and ensure backroom organization; support across departments to keep standards
• Assist with restocking and inventory monitoring; handle equipment safely and according to guidelines
