Job summary

Safeway in Astoria, Oregon is seeking a Retail Sales and Store Support team member to keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop while assisting customers.

You will stock shelves, rotate products, update pricing or signage, and help across departments. A friendly, proactive attitude and reliable work ethic are essential; early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (18 years of age or older, depending on role requirements)
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters following training and safety guidelines
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards

Responsibilities

• Keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop.
