Job summary

The Golden Nugget Las Vegas, operated by Landry's, LLC, seeks a Retail Sales Associate to maintain a welcoming shopping environment and deliver guest service that reflects the K.E.E.P. values.

You will greet customers, ring sales, handle transactions, restock items, assist with inventories, and ensure accuracy in reporting while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Speak, understand and read English.
• NV food handling card and alcohol awareness card.
• Retail experience and customer oriented.
• Minimum age 21.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and understand policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and management in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, ring sales on the register, give correct change and bag merchandise.
• Answer phones within two rings and take messages as needed.
• Maintain floor and customer service standards and use selling skills.
• Restock and organize stock on racks, shelves, glass cases and armoires.
• Assist in preparing for inventory and participate during physical inventory.
• Perform shift housekeeping duties for shelves, fixtures and glass areas.
• Order paper supplies (wrapping, boxes, bags, tissue, and office supplies).
• Cash out: count cash, checks, charges, and complete settlement cards.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Overview

It is the responsibility of the Retail Sales Associate to maintain a consistent image and a comfortable shopping environment for customers in keeping with the Golden Nugget standards. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers cheerfully; ring sales on the register, give correct change and sales receipt and bag merchandise.
• Promptly and courteously answer telephones within two rings and take accurate messages when necessary.
• Maintain floor standards, customer service standards and use selling skills.
• Fold, hang, and maintain stock on/in racks, shelves, glass cases and armoires.
• Assist in preparing for a physical inventory and work during physical inventory.
• Do shift housekeeping duties to include shelves, fixtures and glass areas.
• Order paper supplies (wrapping, boxes, bags, and tissue and office supplies).
• Cash out (includes counting cash, checks, charges, comps and completing settlement cards and envelope). Write information on cashier report and return drawer to satellite cage.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and customer oriented.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.
• Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
