Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the primary customer contact, help set and maintain plan-o-grams, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist customers on the sales floor. You will operate the cash register, bag purchases, and ensure accurate checkout processes.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, cleaning front and back areas, and supporting store displays. High school diploma preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Clean store areas and practice proper waste handling.
• Greet customers and comply with policies.
• Operate cash register, itemize and total purchases, bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
