Job summary

Dollar General is looking for a store associate to serve customers, maintain plan-o-grams, stock and display merchandise, and support daily store operations across the store.

You will unload trucks, assist customers, operate the cash register, process payments, and keep the sales floor clean and organized. A high school diploma is preferred, with strong interpersonal skills and basic math abilities essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive merchandise.
• Open and unpack shipments; stock shelves and backroom.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; face products on shelves.
• Stock merchandise and restock recovered items.
• Assist customers in locating items and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, scan items, total purchases and bag goods.
• Collect payments and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, restrooms, and stockroom.
