Job summary

Carter’s is a leading children's apparel retailer hiring store associates to welcome customers, provide product guidance, and maintain a positive sales floor atmosphere. The role emphasizes brand knowledge for sizes from preemie to 14, effective communication, and a strong customer-focus on all interactions.

Team members must be able to lift 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and commit to varied scheduling including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to multi-task on a busy sales floor.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and basic web navigation.
• Retail or service experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Become a product and brand expert to help families navigate from preemie to size 14.
• Welcome customers and assist with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Maintain a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Lead and execute a business focus area through planning and follow-through.
• Perform Leader on Duty responsibilities by driving results and resolving customer concerns.
• Build customer loyalty through company-sponsored programs, including credit.
• Provide timely feedback to Store Manager on performance and concerns.
• Support asset protection with safety and operational controls.
