Job summary

White House | Black Market, Inc. is seeking a part-time Sales Lead in South Barrington, IL to partner with store leaders. You will supervise the team, set the tone for a customer-centric environment, and support leadership responsibilities to uphold brand standards and a positive culture.

You will coach the team, drive goals, manage operations, and ensure accurate cash handling, scheduling, and inventory. A welcoming, omni-channel approach will reflect our hospitality-driven culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Team player with ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability—nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds on the sales floor and stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store leadership team with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Actively share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Provide coaching and encouragement to keep the team on track with performance goals.
• Execute operations activities, including cash handling, scheduling, inventory management, and merchandise replenishment.
• Be knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, and store policies.
• Support associate development, provide coaching feedback, and assist with scheduling, when needed.
• Share ideas and insights with the store leadership team.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by embracing teamwork with peers and leaders.
