Job summary

The Coast Guard Exchange in Seattle is seeking a Sales Clerk Leader for Uniforms to join a mission-driven retail team supporting the men and women who protect our nation.

This full-time role (30-40 hrs/wk) offers customer-service duties, stock control, and supervision responsibilities, with an hourly pay of $22.06 and meaningful benefits through the Coast Guard Community Services Command. The position emphasizes teamwork and operational excellence in a federal retail setting.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Experience operating a cash register and working knowledge of sales inventory.
• Previous retail supervisory experience in the performance of the above referenced duties.
• Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least 6 months experience as a USCG NAF sales clerk.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, advise on merchandise, and help with selection of goods.
• Oversee operations of the sales department, may order merchandise, price and monitor stock levels, and coordinate with HQ on special orders.
• Operate cash register and manage cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation with accuracy.
• Open/close the store and supervise staff as needed, ensuring loss prevention and safety standards.
