U.S. Coast Guard Exchange in Ketchikan, AK is hiring a Sales Clerk Leader to provide outstanding customer service, assist with product selection, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for military families. You will play a key role in daily store operations and customer care.

The role emphasizes cash handling, inventory awareness, and teamwork. It offers a full-time schedule (30–40 hours/week) with benefits and opportunities for growth within the exchange network.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum: Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Preferred: Experience operating a cash register and working knowledge of sales inventory.
• Preferred: Previous retail supervisory experience and/or
• Preferred: Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least 6 months experience.

Aufgaben

• Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge and help with the selection of merchandise.
• Responsible for overall operations of sale department, may order merchandise, receive, price and monitor stock levels.
• Communicate with HQ staff on special order requests and merchandise issues at store level.
• Train employees on cash register and front end duties; operate cash register and process payments.
• Open/close the store as required; supervise others in absence of management.
