Job summary

Timberland is seeking a Sales Lead to partner with store leadership to deliver top-tier customer engagement and sales results. You’ll model the brand voice, coach associates, and act as a key driver of daily store performance in a dynamic retail environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on coaching, delivering personalized service, and stepping in for management when needed. This is a part-time internship-like position with market-competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related professional retail experience is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; hands-on experience is valued above formal education.
• Demonstrated achievements and practical experience are prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of personalized customer engagement through genuine interactions.
• Assist in maximizing and achieving store sales and goals by monitoring sales progress & results against key targets.
• Foster a consumer centric mindset and an inclusive store environment, while modeling selling behaviors through genuine interactions with consumers.
• Assist in providing direct feedback, coaching and supervision of the associates.
• Occasionally assume responsibility for the store in the absence of another manager. This may include covering breaks, meal periods or opening the store without a supervisor or manager.
• Regularly interact with consumers within the store, providing a high level of customer service.
• Provide actionable feedback to store associates and adhere to policies, procedures and practices that align with company directives.
