Job summary

Coastal Cowgirl Curator is seeking an onsite Key Holder/Lead Sales Associate to support day-to-day store operations while driving sales through exceptional customer service and confident product guidance. You will help maintain strong floor standards and ensure customers feel welcomed, informed, and supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apparel retail experience (required).
• Retail and/or sales experience (required).

Keyholder - Lead Sales

About the Role

Coastal Cowgirl Curator is seeking an onsite Key Holder/Lead Sales Associate to support day-to-day store operations while driving sales through exceptional customer service and confident product guidance. You will help maintain strong floor standards and ensure customers feel welcomed, informed, and supported.

Success in this role means consistently meeting daily sales goals, keeping the sales floor organized and visually appealing, and delivering a positive shopping experience - especially during peak retail times. You will work closely with the Manager/Owner and help lead by example on the floor.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive sales and meet daily sales goals using effective selling techniques and product knowledge.
• Recommend merchandise based on customer needs, including helping customers find the right size, style, and fit.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-presented.
• Support loss prevention practices while actively working on the retail sales floor.
• Accurately process customer transactions using POS systems, including Shopify POS.
• Greet customers and build genuine relationships that support customer service, retention, and repeat business.
• Maintain extensive product knowledge, including fit, style, assortment, accessories, and fashion influences that support multiple-purchase sales.
• Assist with visual merchandising updates such as floor sets, window changes, and signage placement as directed by the Manager/Owner.
• Complete daily floor and boutique upkeep tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, swiffering, and steaming apparel.
• Replenish the sales floor by organizing stock, steaming clothing, and maintaining an orderly stock room.
• Assist with inventory receiving tasks, including shipment assessment and accurate inventory labeling and tagging.
• Support store leadership by stepping in to help the team maintain standards and service during busy retail periods.

Requirements

• 3+ years of apparel retail experience (required).
• Retail and/or sales experience (required).
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled (required).
• Comfort using POS systems; Shopify POS experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of apparel fit, style, and merchandising to support customer confidence and conversion.
• Ability to maintain high standards for organization and presentation in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and commitment to personal growth.
• Strong customer service skills, including friendly communication and relationship building.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts and perform light lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
