Keyholder - Lead Sales

About the Role

Coastal Cowgirl Curator is seeking a Key Holder/Lead Sales Associate to help drive sales while supporting day-to-day store operations. You will be a reliable team player who elevates the customer experience through product knowledge, strong selling skills, and consistent floor standards.

Success in this role means meeting daily sales goals, maintaining an organized and visually appealing store, and ensuring a positive, welcoming shopping experience for every customer—especially during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive sales and meet daily sales goals by using effective selling techniques and communicating product knowledge.
• Recommend merchandise selections based on customer needs, including helping customers find the right sizes, styles, and fit.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor remains clean, organized, and well-presented.
• Support loss prevention practices while working on the retail sales floor.
• Efficiently operate POS systems, including Shopify POS, to complete transactions accurately.
• Greet customers and build genuine relationships to support customer service, retention, and repeat business.
• Maintain extensive product knowledge, including fit, style assortment, accessories, and fashion influences that support multiple-purchase sales.
• Assist with visual merchandising tasks such as floor sets, window changes, and signage placement as directed by the Manager/Owner.
• Support boutique cleanliness and organization, including daily vacuuming, dusting, swiffering, and steaming apparel.
• Organize and maintain the stock room, including replenishing the floor daily/hourly, organizing bins, and steaming clothing.
• Assist with inventory receiving tasks, including shipment assessment and accurate inventory labeling and tagging.

Requirements

• 3+ years of apparel retail experience (required).
• MUST have retail experience and/or sales experience (required).
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (required).
• Comfort using POS systems; experience with Shopify POS is preferred.
• Strong understanding of apparel fit, style, and merchandising to support customer confidence and conversion.
• Ability to maintain high standards for organization and presentation while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and a commitment to personal growth.
• Strong customer service skills, including friendly communication and relationship building.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts and to perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
