Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a part‑time Retail Team member for our Buena Park Store. You will greet customers and donors, operate the POS system, stock merchandise, and keep the donation area clean and organized.

This role emphasizes courteous service, inventory handling, and adherence to TSA policies in a fast-paced retail environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, donors, and customers.
• Must pass background check per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with courtesy and provide prompt service.
• Stock, merchandize and maintain store appearance and donation areas.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards and participate in monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock donated inventory accurately.
• Provide receipts and assist donors with donation item removal.
