Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates and drive the best possible customer experience in the store. You will coach, delegate, and monitor daily tasks, ensuring department coverage and safety compliance.

The role involves both customer-facing activities and back-end tasks like stocking, inventory, and area recovery, with opportunities to step in as MOD and occasionally travel for meetings or trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales licensure or registration as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, and manage performance.
• Ensure adequate department coverage and handle both customer-facing and non-customer-facing activities.
• Oversee safety walks, hazards reporting, and lifting direction adherence.
• Coordinate with leaders to meet sales and service objectives and communicate best practices to the team.
• Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel occasionally to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.
