Job summary

The Salesfloor Manager at M&D Supply leads a high-performing team to energize and inspire both customers and staff, driving loyalty and differentiating the store from competitors. This role reports to the Store Manager and focuses on developing a constructive, fast-paced culture.

Responsibilities include recruiting, training, budgeting, planning, scheduling and conducting performance reviews, while ensuring policy compliance and safety standards across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• 6 months to one year in related fields and/or previous management experience.
• Be able to obtain Forklift certification and LP gas certification.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, identify, screen and select qualified applicants for open positions.
• Facilitate training and development of job knowledge, skills and behavior.
• Develop an annual financial plan for resource allocation and monitor variances.
• Coordinate operational activities and set goals/strategies.
• Lead the team to execute M&D’s value proposition.
• Recognize and resolve conflicts between employees and customers.
• Administer corrective action with guidance from GM.
• Assist GM with performance reviews and one-on-one meetings.
• Plan staff meetings and train on new policies and procedures.
• Develop employee schedules and conduct manager meetings.
