Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a customer-focused associate to act as the point of contact for customers. You will assist in setting plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, build displays, and help maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• Must have good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock shelves and back stock.
• Build and face merchandise displays; rotate stock.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and bag purchases; collect payment and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using scanners; maintain store cleanliness.
