Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Retail Associate to act as the primary customer contact, stock and display merchandise, and assist with checkout. You will follow plan-o-gram guidance, restock items, and maintain store presentation while delivering friendly service.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, operating the register, assisting with ordering via scanners, and keeping the store clean and organized for a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to use IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive shipments per store processes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate faces on shelves.
• Build displays and set up merchandising displays.
• Assist customers in locating products and greet customers.
• Operate the cash register, process payments, and bag groceries.
• Assist with merchandise ordering using handheld scanners.
• Keep the store clean, including backrooms and front-end areas.
