Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assist with plan-o-grams and merchandising, and stock shelves. You will unload trucks and help ensure accurate pricing and displays across the store.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, greeting shoppers, and assisting with merchandise ordering and restocking while maintaining store cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Basic mathematical skills and cash handling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build and rotate displays; restock and face merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, itemize and total purchases, and bag merchandise.
• Greet customers and maintain store cleanliness; follow policies.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
• Help set up sidewalk displays and maintain front-end cleanliness.
