Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to be the primary point of contact for customers, assist with plan-o-grams, and maintain stock levels to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, assisting customers, operating the cash register, bagging, and handling payments. Maintain store cleanliness and follow policies.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock shelves or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean store areas, greet customers, and comply with company policies.
