Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Gloucester, MA is seeking a Store Associate to deliver an exceptional customer experience and keep the sales floor organized. You will ring up purchases, promote rewards, and collaborate with teammates to meet store goals.

Responsibilities include maintaining merchandising standards, supporting loss prevention, and participating in store recovery. Prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Possesses excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience through engagement and interaction with customers while maintaining an organized store environment
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store as needed
• Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Support a positive store culture with honesty, integrity and respect
• Accurately ring purchases/returns and count change per procedures
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Maintain merchandising standards and process merchandise for the floor
• Participate in store recovery and keep the store clean and orderly
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• Adhere to labor laws and company policies
• Support shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
