Job summary

Michaels in Los Angeles area (Encino) is hiring a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast checkout with proper cash handling. You will support truck unloading, stocking, and merchandising via planograms, while promoting the Michaels Rewards program and private label card enrollments.

The role involves omni-channel duties (BOPIS, SFS), in-stock optimization, and adherence to safety and SOPs. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store, and find what they're looking for
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Responsible to complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; promote company values
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Other duties as assigned
