Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Approach customers storewide and ask if help is needed and take them to the location of merchandise.
• Explain benefits and features of merchandise to customers and suggest add-on merchandise.
• Maintain general knowledge of all products and expertise in specific product areas.
• Compute price quotes, order merchandise from catalog, provide business card and follow up on special orders.
• Answer telephone and customer questions within established guidelines.
• Practice and maintain security measures.
• Communicate out-of-stocks using hot sheet/new item requests.
• Use radios to request additional help.
• Assist customers with check out and carryouts.
• Maintain accuracy of shelf tagging, arrange merchandise by shelf label, and set up displays.
• Receive merchandise shipments and check against receiving reports.
• Remove merchandise from packaging, match items with stock numbers, price and tag merchandise.
• Restock shelves and displays and assemble products as needed.
• Process Interstore transfers.
