Job summary

Join The Salvation Army Thrift Store as a Retail Sales Associate. You will greet customers and donors, operate the register, sort and prepare donated merchandise, and help keep the store welcoming and organized. This is a part-time position at 18 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Paid training is provided and you’ll receive ongoing coaching from store leadership while building retail and customer service skills. Employee discounts are available.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned
