The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is hiring a part-time Retail Associate to join our thrift store team in Auburn, Indiana. The role emphasizes delivering friendly customer service, processing sales, and helping donors while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Pay is $13.50 per hour, with 25 hours per week including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided and opportunities to develop retail and customer service skills are offered within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Retail/customer service experience preferred.
• Able to assist donors and process donations per center policy.
• Friendly, dependable, and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You'll Do
