Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) at Point Mugu, CA is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to greet customers, learn product details, and provide expert service. You will help customers identify needs, explain our offerings, and promote promotions in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include cash handling, POS operation, maintaining store appearance, and supporting team objectives while adapting to varied hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

No experience required.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Retail experience preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
Basic math skills for cash handling.

Responsibilities

Proactively engage with customers and build connections.
Assist customers with product selection and inform about promotions.
Cross-sell and upsell while maintaining knowledge of store layouts.
Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
Maintain a clean, welcoming store appearance and assist with inventories.
