Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide friendly, fast, accurate, and safe customer service while supporting daily store operations at our Port Charlotte location. You will assist customers on the sales floor, operate cash registers, accept donations, process merchandise, and support production and merchandising activities.

The role is cross-trained across store areas and offers a flexible schedule.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cash registers, adding machines, credit card machines, telephones, and merchandise pricing.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of basic math skills and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, patience, and understanding.
• Ability to monitor store entrances and exits and notify management of concerns.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, and move merchandise.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Mansioni

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting donors and customers, monitoring entrances and exits, assisting customers on the sales floor, and maintaining efficient checkout operations.
• Operate the cash register, process sales transactions, accept payments, bag merchandise, Round Up purchases, and complete opening and closing register procedures.
• Accept donations, provide donation receipts, and assist donors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Merchandise counters, tables, racks, and other sales floor displays while maintaining safe aisles and walking surfaces.
• Meet or exceed production goals by processing merchandise and recording production, and supporting continuous process improvement.
• Execute Kaizen drills and maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations.
• Follow processing procedures and handling guidelines.
• Move rolling racks and merchandise according to color, category, pricing, and rotation guidelines.
• Sort and place pulls, salvage, and recyclable commodities into designated containers and locations.
• Follow all company policies and support other store operations as needed.
