Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is hiring a Retail Sales Associate for our Bonita Springs store. You will provide friendly, fast, accurate, and safe customer service, operate the register, accept donations, and support daily store operations.

You’ll be cross-trained across areas of the store, maintaining a clean, safe shopping environment and helping with production, merchandising, and backroom tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cash registers and pricing systems.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic math and cash handling abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting donors and customers, monitoring entrances and exits, assisting customers on the sales floor, and maintaining efficient checkout operations.
• Operate the cash register, process sales transactions, accept payments, bag merchandise, and complete opening/closing procedures.
• Accept donations, provide donation receipts, and assist donors in a courteous manner.
• Merchandise displays and maintain safe aisles and walking surfaces.
• Meet production goals by processing merchandise and recording production.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized workstations and follow processing procedures.
• Move racks and merchandise to floor per color, category, pricing and rotation guidelines.
• Sort and place items into designated containers to maximize aftermarket opportunities.
• Support store operations including donation processing, merchandising, cleaning, and backroom functions.
