Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring store teammates who are passionate about helping customers and delivering a memorable in-store experience. You will greet shoppers, uphold merchandising standards, and support the team with a proactive, safety-conscious mindset.

We value reliability and clear communication. Prior retail or golf knowledge is a plus, and you should be able to stand for long periods and lift light items as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards with established floor sets.
• Promote programs such as loyalty, warranties, and payment options.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and company policies.

OVERVIEW:

Our store teammates are passionate about creating an exceptions shopping experience for our customers through their eagerness to help, in-depth product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and ability to prioritize.

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.

• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor

  sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards, etc.

• Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales,

  private label credit card enrollment, etc.).

• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.

• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior retail experience preferred.

• Golf industry experience preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).

• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
