Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Cedar Rapids is seeking store teammates who are passionate about helping customers and sharing our love of sport. You will equip athletes with the right gear and deliver an exceptional shopping experience through product knowledge, brand standards, and friendly service.

You will greet customers, maintain floor sets and signage, promote loyalty programs, and support safety and loss-prevention policies while fostering an inclusive, respectful store environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work extended periods of standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards.
• Promote company programs (loyalty, warranty, private label enrollment).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures and maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Our store teammates are passionate about creating an exceptions shopping experience for our customers through their eagerness to help, in-depth product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and ability to prioritize.

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.

• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards, etc.

• Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).

• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.

• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior retail experience preferred.

• Golf industry experience preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).

• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
