Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Baton Rouge is seeking a store teammate to greet customers, understand their needs and help them find the right products while upholding brand standards.

You will contribute to an inclusive, high-energy sales floor, participate in merchandising, promotions, and safety procedures, and support the team across shifts. Prior retail experience is preferred; golf knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment.
• Promote company programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Adhere to policies related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
